This is a time to rest, to think, reflect, bond or detach, reevaluate and end up at a life-changing standpoint.
For example, think about the positive effect of this occurrence on family units, the marriages it will mend and friendship it might restore forever. I saw a video recently on Aljazeera or BBC news can't remember precisely, with the hashtag #weremember It was visualizing/ projecting life after COVID- 19 and how we will all look back with joy and sense of relieve. (You can watch the video below this post)
As a part-time counsellor/ teacher I have had to counsel a lot of people/my students including myself on coping with issues that affect mental stability from time to time. I remember sometimes in 2015 I met a student slipping into depression based on the circumstances at the time. I kept inviting him to my office after classes and reassuring him that life is much more than the veins and vanities, at some point I had to talk him out of suicide plans. That encounter remains one of my many success stories in academia. I digressed a bit, what I am saying, in essence, is that life occurrences will sometimes mess with our mind and emotions, it is always important to make conscious effort to stay strong and sane through the process despite all the negativity and sometimes hopelessness. Let us continue to pray to our heavenly father, show love to one another, stay clean and practice social distancing. The end is nearer than we think we will survive and come out stronger.
